Who we are

Free Word Search is a free daily word search game, published by an independent publisher who also runs a family of French puzzle sites. No account is required to play, and nothing on this site is behind a paywall.

What we collect

We collect as little as possible. The site has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, and never asks for your name or email address to play. Two kinds of data exist:

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). This involves cookies set by Google. The data is aggregated and we never see anything that identifies you personally.
• Anonymous game events. When a puzzle is started, finished or printed, the site records an anonymous counter to know which puzzles people enjoy. These events are keyed to a hash that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.

What stays on your device

Your puzzle progress, timer and play streak are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only. They never reach our servers — clearing your browser data erases them.

Cookies

Apart from the Google Analytics cookies described above, the site only uses the technical cookies needed for it to work (such as a session cookie). We do not run advertising and do not sell or share any data with data brokers.

Third-party services

Sharing buttons (X, Facebook, WhatsApp) only open the network of your choice when you click them — no tracker is loaded beforehand. Fonts and all game assets are served from our own domain.
