100 hard word search puzzles
A free printable pack of one hundred level 3 word searches — our hardest setting, with words hiding in all eight directions, backwards included, and a mystery word in every grid. Each puzzle is followed by its solution: print the batch, or save it all as one PDF. No sign-up, no email, no catch.
How many puzzles?
Each puzzle comes with its solution — choose “Save as PDF” in the print window to keep the file.
A puzzle book's worth of grids, in one click
This pack is a stable collection — puzzle #37 is the same for everyone — so a classroom, a care home activity group or a family road trip can all work on the same grids and compare notes. Print ten to try it, fifty for a season, or the full hundred for a homemade puzzle book.
Every grid follows the same rules as our daily puzzles: 11×13 letters, twenty-odd words to circle, and the leftover letters spelling one final mystery word.
Want them easier, or one at a time?
These are all level 3 — reversed words included. For gentler grids in small batches, head to our free printable word search puzzles, pick a difficulty and print up to four at a time; the large print version uses extra-big letters.
And there's always a fresh challenge online: the daily word search publishes a new free grid every morning, and the hard word search collection keeps every level 3 grid we've released.
Frequently asked questions
Is the 100-puzzle pack really free?
Yes — entirely free, no sign-up, no email required. Choose how many puzzles you want (10, 50 or the full 100) and print them, or save the whole batch as a PDF.
How do I get the pack as a PDF?
Click “Print the pack”, then in your browser's print window choose “Save as PDF” as the destination instead of a printer. The file contains every puzzle followed by its solution.
How hard are these puzzles?
They are all level 3, our hardest setting: words hide in all eight directions, including backwards and bottom-to-top. Each grid also hides a mystery word, spelled by the letters left over once every word is circled.
Are the solutions included?
Yes. Each puzzle page is followed by its solution page, with every word circled and the mystery word written out. Half the pages are puzzles, half are answers.
Is it always the same 100 puzzles?
Yes — the pack is a stable collection, like a free puzzle book: grid #37 is the same for everyone, so a group can work on the same puzzles. For an endless supply, the daily puzzle and the archive add a new grid every day.
Printing 100 puzzles is a lot — any advice?
The full pack is about 200 pages (puzzles + solutions), so a desktop computer is recommended, and “Save as PDF” beats printing it all at once. Start with the 10-puzzle batch if you just want a taste.
